Nicolas Daenens
Nicolas Daenens was born in Ostend, Belgium, in 1977. He moved to Ghent when he was 19 years old and started his studies at the Artevelde High School, where he obtained a bachelor in teaching French-History-Geography and a master in journalism. He also studied Film at the Academy in Sint-Niklaas, where he graduated in 2005. After working as a journalist for a year and a half, he decides to give his career as a writer/director a chance and starts writing his own scripts.
His short film "The Shortest End" won the audience award at the “Kort Geknipt” Film Festival and was selected for the NPS New Arrivals at the Rotterdam Film Festival.
Thanks to the support of the Flemish Audiovisual Fund, he made his first professional short film “A Day in a Life” in 2007. The film was selected at more than 50 Film Festivals and won several prizes.
“27” is his second professional short film with the support van of the Flemish Audiovisual Fund.

Savage film has been created in 2007 by Bart Van Langendonck, and produces as well fiction, documentary and dance films. Among their numerous talents, Michaël R. Roskam, whose first feature film "Rundskop" ("Bullhead"), released in 2011, put to fame Matthias Schoenaerts.
